Home Remedies For Toothache
A rigorous pain around teeth or jaws is termed as toothache. Though it is not as severe as any other pain like pain due to a kidney stone, but at times it can be even more rigorous when starts instantly. Duration of pain depends upon the very cause behind it, Sometimes it exists for a few seconds and settles itself thereafter.
But many a times it keeps you irritating regularly for longer periods and neither gets not settled it nor allow you to get settled. It makes you restless and putting everything aside you just want to see it off as soon as possible.
Causes Behind Toothache
There are plenty of causes behind toothache:
- Usually big cavities followed by tooth decay are most known reason behind it. Also if tooth decay is not treated properly can offer many reasons to lead toothache
- Infection in root surface or enamel
- A gum disease
- Development of pus due to infectious jaws
- Sensitiveness towards cold or warm edible stuff
- Wisdom teeth also can be a reason behind toothache
Home Remedies to Stop Toothache
Cloves is commonly used spice in our food. To take its benefit, you can use clove oil or put 1-2 cloves directly on the affected tooth. Keep them as it is for 10-15 minutes and then spit it out. You will feel great relief from toothache.
Salt and Pepper
This is a great home remedy to get rid of toothache. Take 1 tablespoon full of both salt and pepper and dissolve them into a lukewarm glass of water, taking gargle for 10-12 times with this solution will help you treating toothache.
Wheat grass Juice
It is a very effective remedy to treat toothache. Especially if infection is the cause of toothache. Wheat grass juice due to its anti-biotical effect, stops infection further spreading all over the gum, and thus puts an end to further tooth decay and the pain as well.
Whisky or Brandy
Although it recommended abstaining from any alcoholic drink like whisky or brandy. But its few drops can act as medicine to treat toothache. Take a small piece of cotton and dip it well in the whisky or brandy. Keeping it for some time on the affected tooth will provide you great relief from toothache.
One of the primary reasons behind toothache is bacterial infected gums. Onion is considered a very good anti-biotic and putting 1-2 slice of raw onion on the affected tooth or chewing some pieces of raw onion for 10-15 minutes will kill the harmful germs and thus provide huge relief from toothache.
If wisdom teeth is the cause behind toothache, then you are left with only one option ,to get it extracted.
